Introducing ClickMimic 1.0: Mac Automation with Contextual Clicking

ClickMimic 1.0 brings contextual clicking, scheduled runs, keyboard shortcuts, and a redesigned dashboard to macOS automation.

ClickMimic 1.0 brings contextual clicking, scheduled runs, keyboard shortcuts, and a redesigned dashboard to macOS automation.

Today we’re releasing ClickMimic 1.0—the first complete version of our macOS automation tool. This release introduces contextual clicking, a feature that makes your automations smarter and more reliable.

What’s New in 1.0

Contextual Clicking

Traditional macro recorders capture screen coordinates. Move a window, and your automation breaks. ClickMimic 1.0 changes this.

Contextual clicking recognizes UI elements—buttons, text fields, labels—not just pixels. Your automations adapt when:

  • Windows move or resize
  • Screen resolution changes
  • UI layouts shift

This means fewer broken automations and less time fixing them.

Scheduled & Delayed Runs

Start your automation now, or schedule it for later:

  • Immediate start: Click and run
  • Delayed start: Pick a time, let it run while you focus on other work
  • Intervals: Run repeatedly with configurable delays

Keyboard Shortcuts

Assign any macro to a global keyboard shortcut. Trigger your automation from anywhere on your Mac without switching apps or clicking buttons.

Redesigned Dashboard

We rebuilt the interface from the ground up:

  • Landscape layout: More information at a glance
  • Sidebar navigation: Quick access to macros, schedule, activity, and settings
  • Live run view: Watch your automation progress in real-time
  • Run history: Track every automation run with timestamps and status

Permission Guidance

macOS requires accessibility permissions for automation tools. ClickMimic now guides you through setup step-by-step, with clear instructions and visual prompts.

Who Is ClickMimic For?

QA Engineers

Record UI regression tests without Selenium or scripting. Replay after every release to catch bugs early.

Developers & DevOps

Automate environment setup, deployment checks, and dashboard monitoring. Schedule runs to verify UI states after releases.

Streamers & Creators

Open OBS, switch scenes, prep your streaming workspace—all with one click. Focus on content, not setup.

Designers

Batch export assets, run repetitive menu actions, prep files for delivery. Record once, repeat with consistent timing.

Marketing & Operations

Refresh analytics dashboards, export reports on schedule, capture screenshots for updates.
